Background
William Woody, MBA, is the President and Owner of Nightingale Nursing Service, Inc. and affiliates, a firm that Mr. Woody purchased in 1996. When Bill purchased the firm it had approximately 40 employees; now he employs more than 5,000. Bill Woody’s companies rank in the top 10 largest employers in Montana. Bill was named the United States Small Business Administration, Small Business Person of the Year in Montana for the year 2004. Mr. Woody is also the founder of Missoula Medical Aid, a 501(c) (3) that provides direct medical assistance, medication, and sustainable living assistance to Hondurans to promote better family health. Mr. Woody graduated with a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Montana and served as a controller for Timberhouse, a timber-frame construction company, and the controller for One-Call Locators, a large underground utilities location company, prior to purchasing Nightingale Nursing.
Bill’s community activities are extensive and include being on the Board of Directors of the Montana Chamber of Commerce and serving on the University of Montana’s President Advisory Board along with only two other prominent community leaders. His dedication to Missoula, western Montana and Montana in general is greatly appreciated.
